André Rösch Architekt (ARA) is a young, multidisciplinary architecture firm. Recently, the firm found success in BUILD’s Design & Build awards where they were selected as the Ones to Watch in Germany 2019. On the back of this win, we profiled the firm and spoke to owner, André Rösch who revealed more about the secrets behind ARA’s remarkable success.
Founded by André Rösch in 2013, André Rösch Architekt (ARA) works across all stages of architecture from the initial stage design to the final building construction on small and large projects.
Priding themselves on their dedication, passion and full commitment to every task, the team at ARA’s main goal is to implement the planning with high-quality, cost-effective designs which are on time. André begins by going into further detail about the areas in which the team at ARA specialises within and how the firm ensure that they deliver a service which not only fulfils the requirements of their clients but also surpasses their expectations.
“Here at ARA, our area of expertise are new build, extensions, conversion, rebuild – of residential, private houses, interiors, retail, restaurants, sacral architecture, galleries – with the attention to eco-friendly, sustainable and green architecture.
“Over the years, ARA’s success has evolved from our lateral thinking (outside of the box) with the approach to design consciously for the purpose of its user with attention to detail design.”
Working behind the scenes to ensure that deadlines are met, goals are achieved and exceptional designs are delivered is the dedicated, passionate team of talented individuals who form the backbone of ARA. When discussing the internal culture, André is delighted to highlight the significant role the team play in the overall success of the award-winning architecture firm.
“ARA employs dedicated, passionate and talented designers with the ability to work holistically as every project requires an individual, customized approach.”
Bringing the interview to a close, André signs off by revealing how the firm have been working on projects to help those who have been affected by natural disaster areas as well as those in the western world who are financially limited.
“At ARA, we are currently developing various projects to ‘improve the standard of living’ both nationally and internationally for people in natural disaster areas but also in the western world, who are financially limited.
“Some of the projects include designing and developing affordable, eco-friendly, sustainable and beautiful designed homes with a small environmental footprint (i.e. tiny house project). Re-using of structure; recycling in rebuilding and conversing buildings, such as silos, bunkers, industrial halls, or barns which are no longer been used for their purpose. As they don’t need to be demolished, their sound structure can be used and be converted (recycled) into a different usage i.e. as residential buildings.
“One of the main problems with increasing population is that more and more new construction areas get created by destroying the natural habitat and farm land. Our office is pursuing by increasing the density in towns and cities, facing the design challenge of building i.e. on plots with strange awkward shapes or pushing to re-use structure by converting it or extending existing buildings.”
Looking ahead to what the future holds, the team at ARA hope to continue delivering their exceptional service to clients, a service which saw them be selected as the Ones to Watch in Germany 2019 as part of BUILD’s Design & Build Awards.
