Electrical accessories specialist, Chint, has achieved preferred supplier status with Electricbase, a national trade supplier with 82 outlets nationwide and part of the £1 billion turnover construction products distributor, the Grafton Group.
Commenting on the deal, Graham Chadwick, Chint’s UK marketing director said, ‘This is terrific news that will greatly extend the national availability of Chint products precisely at the time that new class-leading designs are to be released.’
Agreement was reached following extensive product audits and positive feedback from customers. In a letter to branch managers Stuart Brass, operations director for Electricbase, highlighted the new deal and noted, ‘Some of our branches have been stocking Chint products since we first started trading in 2009. These products have a very low return rate because all products are 100 percent inspected before shipping, and installers who use them come back for more. I am sure that there will be high demand for this equipment.’
Chint produce products that meet every need within the electrical distribution chain, including domestic, commercial and industrial power distribution equipment. Products in the commercial agreement include three phase and single phase electrical distribution boards, a wide range of consumer units, MCB’s, RCBO’s and stylish switches, sockets and light fittings. All equipment is independently tested and certified by leading test houses.
Chint is a $5 billion turnover global company based in China and operating via, close to market, local subsidiaries, so product can be designed to meet the needs of each national market. Stockport is the UK base where its main warehouse is located together with a manufacturing centre for specials and other customised products.
