Aliva UK has designed a stunning concrete effect feature wall for a chain of exclusive estate agencies in London.

Brinkley’s Estate Agents, who have branches in desirable areas of London including Putney and Wimbledon Hill, chose the finish to reflect their ethos of ‘a modern approach to traditional values’.

Five Interiors challenged Aliva – the UK leader in interior and exterior finishes – to produce a finish with an authentic concrete aesthetic, complete with panel shapes and pitted bolt holes.

Using its Metropolis Colours range of paints and polished plasters, Aliva created a custom style that matched the customer’s initial design using Old Time Max, a plaster paste that creates marble look finishes.

The dark grey finish contrasted with the company’s bright red company logo, making a bold stand-out feature wall in the estate agent’s contemporary styled offices.

Richard Allen, Senior Interiors Consultant at Five Interiors said: ‘Aliva UK offered us an individual industrial look for a feature wall. We used this as an accent piece in three offices, achieving an authentic concrete effect, with stunning results. We would highly recommend the product and service from Aliva.’

Metropolis approved contractor Regency Plastering applied the polished plaster, ensuring an expert result that gave a high quality, seamless finish.

Tom Kitchener, Sales Manager for Metropolis said: ‘The challenge for this project was making the concrete effect look as realistic as possible throughout the three agencies. The bespoke finishes were completed with panel shapes and pitted bolt holes to add to the authenticity of the design.’

The Metropolis range of paints and polished plasters is suitable for any interior, from new builds requiring a distinctive look to older buildings needing a finish that is sympathetic to their history.

Metropolis is the name for luxury interiors for a growing number of famous brands, including Fred Perry, Alexander Wang and Adidas who have used it to give a natural feel to their stores.
