We invited Managing Director, Sean Ballard to talk us through the firm’s range of solutions and the techniques it employs to ensure clients are always satisfied. ith such a comprehensive portfolio Sunray is able to meet and often exceed specification requirement of steel doors and as such is specified across the UK from Architects to Top Tier Contractors, all of whom rely upon Sunray for bespoke, engineered quality products and dependable service. The range is designed and manufactured at the company’s large site in Ashford, Kent. Sean explains how the business creates unique and innovative products designed to meet client needs and project solutions. “Sunray takes a different approach when we look at how our products and services are provided to our customers. We have a high referral rate based on taking a professional, flexible and pro-active approach to our clients and ensure the product meets project criteria through consultative dialogue. The fact that each project is bespoke means we will often need to react and respond quickly to meet project timescales with delivery and installation, and as we have all services in house and employed including our installation teams, means we are able to facilitate to demand. This level of control ensures we have some of the best lead times within the industry. Sunray continues to lead the market for Steel Security rated Doors, Louvres and Grilles and each product has undergone vigorous third-party test programs by the British Research Establishment (BRE) and the Loss Prevention Certification Board (LPCB) so we comply and meet the Loss Prevention Standards (LPS) 1175 Issue 7, from levels 1-6. These standards ensure the product meets an extremely high levels of intruder resistance, yet with aesthetics to blend and enhance without compromise to building security. We can offer our range in any RAL colour so that our element of the build process can blend in, our be part of a product colour signature, for instance on new build projects where design is key. With emphasis on quality and service, Sunray runs a stringent Integrated Management System (IMS), incorporating ISO 14001 (environmental management), ISO 9001 (quality management) and OHSAS 18001 (health and safety) certifications.
