Build Magazine April 2016

Build Magazine 38 ounded by architect Klas Nilsson more than 25 years ago, Northacre puts architecture at the heart of its designs. The in-house architecture team, unique to a developer of this scale, recognises the impor- tance of championing architecture in residential schemes to invigorate and preserve a diverse and beautiful London for the future. The Summer Houses are a significant addition to the Serpentine’s famed archi- tecture programme. It is the first time five architects will be involved, with four of the architects invited to submit designs that consider Queen Caroline’s Temple and its relationship with its surroundings. The temple is a classical-style summer house built in 1734, a stone’s throw away from the Serpentine Gallery. Niccolò Barattieri di San Pietro, CEO, Northacre comments; “We are delighted to partner with the Serpentine Galleries and its ambitious Summer House initiative that celebrates architecture in London - something that is close to our hearts. For 25 years, Northacre has been at the forefront of the revival and development of buildings with an architectur- al legacy and we are thrilled to be a part of this exhibition alongside this London design institution.” Northacre Sponsors Serpentine Galleries’ First Ever Summer House Architecture Exhibition in Hyde Park Alongside 16th Annual Serpentine Pavilion Northacre, London’s leading high-end developer of landmark and architecturally significant buildings, is proud to sponsor the first ever Serpentine Summer House exhibition, an extension of the internationally regarded Summer Pavilion initiative from 10 June – 9 October 2016.
