Private residential, arts organisations, charities, commercial businesses, public sector Organisations. What makes you unique? Our architecture is strongly influenced by “place” and by exploring the qualities which each individual site brings, whether physical, social or cultural, we are able to experiment with form and materiality to create buildings which sit comfortably within their context and enhance their surroundings. What’s your biggest challenge facing you at present? We’ve recently opened a new office in Inverness, and are continuing to build our client base in that part of the world, which allows us to cover an extremely large geographic area. We’re currently working on projects from the South Coast of England to Lerwick on Shetland, so having an additional base will only augment our ability to work across the UK. What’s the aim for your business? Continuing to expand our non-residential portfolio. At the moment we have a long list of arts and public buildings we’re currently working on, following the success of our Portsoy Boatbuilding Centre project, for which we were fortunate enough to receive several awards. What’s your company’s biggest challenge? Apologies - I think I’ve probably answered this in question 4. If you can let me know if you require anything further here that’d be great. What individual in your industry and beyond do you admire the most and why? Paulo Mendes da Rocha - He has produced some fantastic buildings and furniture across a 60-year career, and his Paulistano Armchair is a design classic.
