Build September 2016

Build Magazine 34 Patricia Hope Sharp is an interior and architectural designer in Prescott, Arizona, who is the Principal andManagingMember of Sharp Design, LLC. She has worked extensively from the West Coast to the East Coast, designing for commercial and residential construction, as well as for renovations and restorations. Patricia wholly believes that an interior designer is the tool and the avenue to reaching the quest of a client’s dream environment, and has been making her patrons’ visions a reality since 1980. harp Design, LLC stresses the fundamental elements of timeless design to all of their clients. Patricia believes that a client hires a designer as a director in the establishment of their design concept, and that the designer must then reflect the client’s personality, interests and style. The designer will then create something that is mutually committed to the goals of comfort, function and superlative aesthetics. Patricia’s own designs reflect the collaborative relationship between architecture and furniture, function and form, and client and designer. Patricia excels in the art of architectural planning, space planning, furniture design and light design. She has extensive architectural and interior product knowledge, and an acute colour sense. She also has the ability to create exterior hardscape design for tranquil outdoor living, bringing cohesion inside to the outside, and vice versa. Architectural detailing is tantamount to all design styles, and Patricia is comfortable operating within a range of styles including modern, Asian, traditional, rustic, and post-modern, managing to create a refined space with reflections of bouncing light within these settings. She is equally at ease restoring a 1920s Craftsman Bungalow in Prescott or a 1910 Estate on the New Jersey shore, a Florida beach estate remodel or a new construction residence at High Valley Ranch, The Heritage, American Ranch, Forest Trails Community, among many Prescott area retreats. Sharp Design, LLC has extensive experience in the interior design and specification of hotels, libraries, restaurants and institutions. Ms. Sharp’s body of work includes architectural design and interior design for a variety of projects, including commercial, mixed use buildings, retail, private residences, educational facilities and multi-unit housing design projects. As a leading member of the Prescott, AZ design community, she is also proud to be able to frequently use green materials in her designs, as sustainability is a key motivation for her. Patricia enjoys using her skillset to give back to the community, whether this be on the Prescott Library renovation project’s Aesthetic Committee or detailing design for the animal spaces with scientific names and tracks at the Heritage Park Zoo Wildlife Refuge, or organizing funding events for the American Cancer Society. Some of the other community projects and services that Patricia has been involved in include; Tualatin Hills Parks & Recreation District, Design Showcase for preservation of Jenkins Estate (Tualatin, Oregon), Marketing design illustration for Chase/Pepsi with La Canesta – Feliz Navidad in El Barrio (Glendale, AZ), Design review for Sweetwater Ranach Homeowner’s Association (Scottsdale, AZ), Monuments and Signage for Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary (Prescott, AZ), Prescott Public Library (Prescott’s Living Room) renovation project (Prescott, AZ), and American Cancer Society Fundraising and Events Planning (Red Bank, NJ). “Let’s create your place of intrigue – a place of pleasure, a place to rejuvenate, a place to inspire… a place of comfort for enjoyment by you and those that gather in your home or work environment” – this is Patricia’s mission for Sharp Design, LLC, and what she most hopes they will continue to do for their client’s in the future.
