Focusing mainly on a sports stadium in Spain, there was a decision made to build an indoor athletics stadium with capacity for 2,500 spectators was adopted both to promote the sport and to provide Sabadell with the opportunity to host regional, national and international competitions. Located in a multi-sports complex, the stadium is located in a long and narrow strip that has a large slope in section and an intensely marked asymmetry. These parameters allowed defining the character of the architectural solution, since the structure acquired its identity through the topography of the place to which it was adapted, while minimizing its impact on the landscape. The school was built with the idea of a community feeling around the area. The city of Rosario is carrying out urban development in the so-called “Zero Zone” which includes the possibility of building approximately 4,500 housing solutions with services, complete infrastructure and equipment. This area is located at the northern end of the city, between Circunvalación Avenue, Rosario-Santa Fe Highway, Route 34 and the communal boundary with the town of Ibarlucea. In a first stage, the construction of some 1,500 homes was planned for Ground Zero through different plans, and together with it, the construction of three new educational institutions: a kindergarten, a primary school and a secondary school. This decision is based, among other reasons, on the inability to meet the educational demand of families who will settle in the new neighbourhood from nearby schools that are operating in the neighbourhoods nearby. As for the elementary school to be created, it will have seven classrooms, a multipurpose workshop, library, multimedia room, multipurpose room, as well as the proper spaces for government areas and bathrooms. This school is built according to the typological design system. It responds to the new concept of school buildings designed by the provincial government. The building offers generous spaces where the white colour is the protagonist and where light enters abundantly through the large windows. All these characteristics, added to a wide entrance and the opening to the community of the hall of multiple uses and of the library, return to this and all the similar schools in a reference site of the neighbourhood. In addition, each of its classrooms is integrated into an outer courtyard, which extends the school environment and seeks greater interrelation between students and teachers. Ultimately, these two projects are just a snippet of what Mario and his staff can do. The future looks incredibly bright for the firm as it continues to expand its global reach and undertake projects in a variety of different countries. Mario Corea Arquitecture
