2020 Recycling & Waste Management Awards
Recycling & Waste Management Awards 2020 BUILD 15 to explain, things have been the complete opposite for Turrini. “COVID-19 has in many ways improved our business. Although travel has been restricted (I am UK based, spending half of every year in the US), we have taken more orders than normal as a great deal of clients have been pushed to look hard at their shop environment and how they clean water and collect dust. Additionally, this coupled with our high social media presence has meant we have remained at the forefront of people’s minds.” Finally, Simon commented on the future of the firm, offering more insight into some of its plans moving forward into the remainder of 2020 and beyond. “Turrini is probably the fastest growing water recycling and dust extraction company in the North American market, although our machinery has been sold there for many years, we formed a dedicated US subsidiary in 2017 and have since gone from strength to strength. Having recently installed machinery in Tennessee for a fabricator whose shop was destroyed by a Tornado earlier in the year, we were able to switch around some machines and get them up and running fast. “Just a couple of week ago we installed a machine in LA and with Pittsburgh, Charlotte and Minneapolis also planned for this year these are extremely busy times. As our technical team in North America continues to grow, we now have people working from coast to coast with consumable and spare parts stock held in multiple US locations as well as in the UK Head office. Looking ahead, as we continue to work with our clients, it’s vital we don’t lose sight of our key values, saving people time, water, stress and most of all money.” Company: Turrini USA Corp Contact: Simon Bradbury Web: www.turriniusa.com Best Water Recycling Machinery Supplier - North America Sep20650 anufactured in Italy and regarded as an industry standard by almost all the major U.K Fabricators, Turrini are now present in North America. To begin with Simon gives us a brief overview of the firm and offers more insight into some of its specialisms. “Part of the UK based Stone Industry Group, we have a combined experience of over 100 years at the highest level. Naturally, we supply and maintain the highest quality Italian made water recycling and dust collection machinery to the stone and glass industries. As for our clients, we typically work with all of the main machinery manufacturers and a good majority of the world’s top fabricators for their continued water recycling needs and safe dust control in their shop environments.” Since the beginning, Turrini have put the customer at the front of their minds with their satisfaction coming before anything else. As Simon goes on to explain, anyone joining the company must take this approach on board. “As a friendly and hard-working bunch, our key indicator for success has been a can-do attitude. With our customer being the most important resource, it is vital we recruit talent who can bring a positive attitude to the company. Additionally, it is beneficial for people to be used to a lot of travel and this prepares you for long hours.” The machinery industry today can prove to be an extremely competitive one to operate in, however as Simon goes on to explain, to be successful it is important to keep any maintenance time to a minimum. “As a whole we offer only the highest quality stainless steel machines, small footprint, fully automatic and with minimal maintenance. The North American marketplace is used to machinery which has a high level of maintenance and takes up a great deal of valuable production space. As a result, for many years now we have been refining our machinery so there is no compromise on functionality and quality, keeping it competitively priced as possible. For example, we offer duty and standby pumps onboard, meaning virtually zero downtime.” The recent outbreak of COVID-19 has presented many challenges to firms across the world, but as Simon goes on Based in Delaware, Turrini USA Corp is the leading supplier of water recycling and dust extraction systems in North America.
