2021 Recycling & Waste Management Awards
BUILD Recycling & Waste Management 2021 12 there are innovators being heard and creating change. Without honest advice and correct practice education put into place, generations will be misled. It is VSMM’s responsibility to provide facts, and tell a true story, not one of fiction. VSMM’s work is done remotely – long before the COVID-19 pandemic began – and it therefore has a minimal carbon footprint as a business, endeavouring to practice as it preaches. Remote working has always enabled it to have a flexible approach to working, providing guidance from the beginning regarding what each client needs to enable a successful process/campaign. Its flexible approach allows it to meet the needs of all its clients, and colleagues, too. The priority for VSMM is to maintain a healthy working environment, and this alongside mental health support is a key focus for all who work at the company. Ultimately, VSMM was set up to provide balance and an honest approach to PR, comms and marketing. With years of volunteer work and industry practice across many continents, it feels that this places it in a position to support, encourage and enable the business to grow. The company saw a busy end to 2021, preparing for many of its projects launching this Q1. Company: VSMM Contact: Emma Varney-Long Email:

Sustainability, recycling and environmental impact are the future of business; without change and change- makers, the world would come to a halt. VSMM exists to support and share good practice, good news, innovation and change. VSMM is currently supporting an ongoing project that will recycle flexible plastics. These hard to recycle plastics are being collected kerbside, recycled in a new innovative recycling plant and are creating an alternative to plywood. This project has enabled VSMM to work with over 10 stakeholders, gaining input, organising PR pieces and collaborating to create an impact for all. The change this will make for the environment and the local economy within the area will support change for current and future generations. Recycling as a whole has many who are supportive; the confusion lies within lack of consistency and misinformation. Education is key to making change and this is what VSMM endeavours to do. Plastic is a resource, paper is a resource, all material is a resource – if managed well and not burnt, exported or buried (although landfill mining does have potential). Recycling has some amazing leaders in the industry, and Best Plastics & Recycling Marketing Specialists - UK VSMM is an established PR, comms and marketing company that has worked on projects across the globe. It has strong connections with large businesses within a broad range of industries, including manufacturing and recycling. It prides itself on working with non-profits, who receive the same level of support from the firm as large blue chip companies. M Oct21678 Credit Adrian Waine Photography
