A grid of cast iron columns and limited natural light over a deep an open floor plate, presented fundamental challenges in our approach. Sales exceeded clients’ expectation, and the team owes a great debt of gratitude to the developer for placing faith and trust into LR-Design’s ability to create and deliver a signature development. One of the Practices most recent referrals came with very specific requirements for energy efficient performance and the implementation for long term adaptive mobility and access. The project comprised extensive refurbishment and remodelling of a tiered and out-dated 2-storey detached residence. LR-Design worked closely with the client to develop a clear and concise brief, whilst implementing experience gained for the application of lifetime homes, energy efficiency and methods of construction to create an individual, adaptive, energy efficient, contemporary home. The heritage development at Clarence Mill is one of many commissions for LR-Design, and our services are not merely limited to design. We offer extensive experience in client advice, the use and administration of construction contracts, preparation of elemental costs, whilst compiling and negotiating tenders - that then transpire to stages of valuation during the construction phase. The practice extends its continuity in terms of project management.
