The firm seeks to focus on quality, as Valeria highlights in her opening comments. “At Licht Design Studio our core focus is working closely with our clients to ensure they receive a solution they can be proud of. Lighting is an area that in most of the projects is the last thing to be considered as developers and designers do not understand its importance. We strive to change this perception, because lighting should be the first thing to consider in any project, especially when it comes to enhancing any interior or exterior design. “Good lighting can transform a space, and this is what we aim for in each and every one of our projects. From the beginning, we focus on our clients and their needs. We work on a concept for interior design and another concept for lighting design, that way we show every client the importance of lighting in their project.” Operating in the interior design and property space, it is important that the firm adapts to emerging market trends and developments to ensure it is always offering clients the services they expect. D “Seeking to offer a truly innovative approach, Licht Design Studio´s concept and mission is based on ‘thinking green’, because in my country, Ecuador, the concept of sustainability is not up to date. As part of our aim to ensure our clients receive the sustainable solutions they expect, we concept cover all branches: Lighting, Interior, and Industrial. We offer technical calculation to explain to the client why and how to illuminate an area, and it also helps us to use the right products which help the environment as well as our clients. In Interior Design we do our best to guide the client towards a ‘green vision’ which consists in reusing and recycling materials or furniture, adding design and creativity.” Ultimately, Licht Design Studio has achieved incredible success since its inception and grown from a small firm operating exclusively in Guayaquil to a nationwide company. The firm has now moved from smaller projects into larger ones, including hotels, which are a growing market in the lighting design space. Over the coming years the team will be aiming to expand their client base even further, with the eventual aim being to open offices around the world and work with international clients on even more unique and exciting projects.
