A recent example of the firm’s exceptional design solutions and the success of its approach was its work redesigning an oceanfront home that had been destroyed by hurricane Sandy a few years ago. When the architect presented Pavarini Design with the plans for consideration, the team noted that the master bedroom on the second floor had no Southern exposure. Since the wall on the South elevation was common to the two-story living space, the team punctuated the wall with massive plate glass windows to provide dramatic ocean views which in-turn flooded the room with natural light coming through the floor-to- ceiling glass in the living room beyond. While there were many clever architectural details, this one, by far, had the greatest impact on the home and transformed the otherwise less-than- optimal master bedroom into an extraordinary retreat. Such an outstanding project showcases Pavarini Design’s artistic prowess and commitment to creating truly unique and innovative solutions for its esteemed clientele. Focal points are a key focus for the team, as they believe that there is little harmony or interest in a space without addressing the key architectural focal points in a space. Whether it be a fireplace elevation, a wall at the end of a hallway, or any other point of focus within an interior, the Pavarini Design team believe that these places require careful thought and attention to detail to make for interesting spaces. Since the ceiling is always the largest plane in a space, it requires good planning so that it never looks forgotten. Whilst the orientation of the lighting is critical, the placement of mouldings and other ceiling details and color transitions have dynamic affect and are elements typical to the Pavarini vision and style.
