Its award-winning project, Qingyifang QUEENLAND Green Mall ( 长春青怡坊昆蘭 ), stands as a stunning example of successful cooperation between two avant-garde partners in the real estate business: RhineScheme as planner, and Qingyifang Group as investor, developer and operator. We profile both firms to find out more about the services they have to offer to clients around the world. stablished in 2004 with offices in both Germany and China, RhineScheme began life as a merger of medium- sized design studios withmore than 30 years’ experience under one umbrella. Now it is able to provide a full range of architectural and urban planning services to clients across Asia and Europe throughout the retail, culture and entertainment industry. Much of the work that RhineScheme undertakes is focused on big-scale architectural and urban planning projects for private, institutional and governmental clients. The firm now offers a whole range of design and consultancy services, starting from real estate consulting and marketing and feasibility studies for all sorts of buildings and urban developments; architectural and interior design from schematic drawings to construction documentation; tendering support and site supervision. The firm also offers specialised engineering services, which include structural engineering, storm water management, energy consulting and lighting design to name but a few. RhineScheme’s Beijing office has a well-experienced local team familiar with both Chinese and Western planning conditions and culture. Incorporating a solid world-wide network of partner offices, the firm combines more than 130 architects, urban planners and interior designers, as well as ca. 200 associated engineers, researchers and consultants. Qingyifang Group, founded in 1999, is a diversified industry group. Its headquarters is in Changchun, in the North of China, but E Best Architecture & Urban Planning Studio 2020 – Eurasia & Best Contemporary Retail Design Project (China): - Changchun Qingyifang QUEEN LAND Green Mall - 长春青怡坊昆蘭 aimed at international business orientation. The holding has almost 50 subsidiaries, is distributed in 17 cities in China and abroad, and employs more than 500 staff. After 20 years of sustained growth, its business involves seven main industries, including the entire flower industry chain (as the original core of business), real estate development, cultural & creative industry, film & television investment, financing, import & export trade and commercial operations. Over the years, the Group has deployed a more and more diversified development, taking on an international perspective and forming a culturally and ecologically innovative industry platform. Qingyifang’s now awarded “Green Mall” can be seen as the result of such innovative thinking that brings surplus values to the city in which it is built (Changchun) and to citizens and users. RhineScheme andQingyifangGroup collaborated in the development of “Qingyifang Queenland Green Mall”, which is expected to be finished by 2021. This project represents an advanced type of experience mall, combining shopping-leisure-culture-sports- events-entertainment-F&B in a setting that inspires the senses. The epithet “Queenland” is derived from the Chinese word “Kunlan”, a poetic word that describes the vast space between heaven and earth, or – in other words - the space between the highest mountain and the largest water-landscape.
