Following Mr Ashofteh’s success in the industry, we profile his work to find out more about the levels of excellence he has achieved. shofteh’s journey to get to a place of architectural brilliance began with him getting his first degree in Architecture from the University of Nebraska, in Lincoln. Then, he continued his pursuit of knowledge at the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo where he was awarded his Master degree in Architecture. Following this, he received his postgraduate Certificate of Specialization in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA). This is where the story of his architecture firm begins. After working and collaborating with some of the world’s leading architects and architecture firms of the time, such as Charles W. Moore, Frank Gehry, Edgardo Contini, Rex Lotery, Richard Weinstein, and many others, Mr Ashofteh then decided to start his solo practice in 1993. Since founding his own solo practice, Mr Ashofteh’s architecture firm has been dedicated to approaching architecture as the synthesis of pragmatic and semantic elements. Each project is designed with a specific purpose: to go beyond the essence of mere shelter, and instead venture into the realms of timeless forms and spaces. Luxury abounds in every project that Mr Ashofteh undertakes, and is dedicated to timeless elegance, form, and space is second to none. Timelessness can be a subjective opinion for many, but Ashofteh works with it as a stylistic choice in the sense of tradition, not as custom or habit, nor as a transient style of a passing era. Both on a visual and physical level, Los Feliz is very much a quintessentially mix of styles from across Los Angeles, ranging from typical bungalows to Spanish revival-style houses, to mid-century modern homes. The property has sense of the dramatic and elegance that few other properties achieve, epitomised by the moveable wall of glass in the living room that opens up the interior to the outdoors in classic Californian style.
