As the company celebrates its thirtieth anniversary, the Twinfix team of experts in the polycarbonate and roof-glazing fields continue to develop the latest, best and most cost-effective roof glazing products. The company prides itself on having a product to suit most buildings and is hugely adaptable when it comes to answering a client’s demands. Offering aluminium, steel and timber frame canopies, shelters and walkways, polycarbonate canopies, polycarbonate and glass rooflights and more within the rail, education, industrial, domestic, leisure, healthcare an commercial sectors, Twinfix is confident they can offer a roof glazing, canopy or covered area solution for almost any applications. The mission has remained the same since the company’s inception; toprovidehigh-quality safeproducts tocustomers. Their portfolio of products and services has widened remarkably, and what began with installation of multiwall and solid polycarbonate now includes their ever-popular modular polycarbonate roof panel system, the Multi-Link-Panel NF (Non-Fragile). All of these products and services are delivered safely and to an exceptional standard, and as a result, Twinfix has achieved CHAS Premium Plus, Constructionline Gold, RISQS and BS-SIO 9001, whilst all their products hold the CE mark of safety. The Multi-Link-Panels are most commonly used to form the roof of Twinfix canopies, walkways and shelters, as well as overhead glazing in roof lights. Replacing old canopy glazing with Twinfix’s polycarbonate alternatives floods the area with daylight, whilst also promising longevity, durability and low maintenance. This makes it an ideal choice for renovations of railways stations. The standard Multi-Link-Panel was reworked for a renovation of Stirling station, to create a product that offered the benefits of the Multi-Link-Panel whilst having the adjustments that was in keeping with the heritage of the building and satisfied the listed planner requirements. The Multi-Link-Panel is now being used in stations across the country, it’s a popular choice because of its lightweight nature and impact resistance features which mean the roof panels have a very long life span and virtually no maintenance is needed. T This makes it easy to be installed quickly and without risk of damage during installation or in the future, which further reduces costs. Added features such as the Twinfix In-Line Access Hatch also allow for easier and safer maintenance but with hatches in line with the rooflight glazing, making it ideal for heritage spaces. Twinfix’s most recent project is the installation of approximately 8,000 square metres of the Multi-Link-Panel NF roof-glazing system with 6mm solid obscure Georgian wired effect polycarbonate in Aberdeen station. This is a popular choice for train stations like Aberdeen, because it offers the benefits of safe, low maintenance panels that create lighter spaces, whilst retaining the heritage of listed buildings’ unique appearance and characters. Whatever a client needs for their project, the Twinfix team are dedicated to working closely with them to provide a product that meets their requirements, even if it means adapting their own products. This adaptability is what has led the company to such innovation and success over their thirty years of operation and is why they have become a vital asset to the construction of many sites across the UK, particularly within the rail industry. As Twinfix continues to lead the way in ground-breaking roof glazing and canopy solutions, we have no doubt that the next thirty years are going to be just as exciting.
