There can be no overstating how crucial client-centricity is to the firm’s approach, even beyond the usual framework of architect and client. For Esteve, the project doesn’t necessarily end upon its completion, or indeed sit only within the framework of architectural discussion. “Our unique treat is the contact with the client with continuous advice in areas that are beyond architecture. We work locally, where we are known and recommended by our satisfied customers.” Despite that – relatively – small outlook, the firm are eager to capitalise on the latest developments, artificial intelligence included, as Esteve moves on to quickly discuss. “We are working hard to incorporate virtual reality into our projects, as well as 3D models for visualization in virtual reality, so that the client can visualize his project before its execution. These tools will make it possible to introduce changes in the project phase that avoid extra costs in the work.” Every choice the firm makes is in the mindset of making it easier, more seamless, more cost-effective for the client. But let’s take a closer look at one of the firm’s most recent projects, “Square Bar” Frankfurt ADOS in Mollerussa. This project began as a small bar, but OFICINA TECNICA ARENI SL opted to deliver an exciting twist on the initial plan by connecting old warehouses to the space at the back of the premises. “The client did not see it clearly at first, but we knew how to explain to him the great potential that the project could reach by expanding with warehouses. This is an example of our remarkable approach - by going beyond what the client asks for. As a result, this project had great impact, expanding old warehouses that kept the industrial and local character of ancient times as much as possible. Brick walls with a wooden and ceramic cover, has resulted in a rustic atmosphere in the center of the city. “In the middle of the renovation, the client saw the potential of the project and asked to give to the interior of the building the sensation of being in an outdoor square. It is in this request that the project ends its essence with outdoor flooring inside warehouses, incorporating trees and public furniture inside the room. In September 2022 it was finished, and its inauguration was a success. It is currently a reference site in OFICINA TECNICA ARENI SL is an architecture and urbanism office. But, like many things, it is so much more than that.
