Then there are the global energy companies that turn to MJZ for pragmatic solutions, or the car producers in search of help designing methods that tackle electrification. Whatever the task in question, MJZ has the right solution. Best Multidisciplinary Research & Design Creative Agency 2024 - Poland MJZ Not one to turn away a job, MJZ CEO Maciej Jakub (M.J.) Zawadzki operates a business anchored in foresight and driven by future demand, a commitment that sees this research and design agency take on jobs even when the field is unknown to it. “We are kind of pioneers in that sense”, says M.J., proudly. By doing the right research, this architect has made great things happen, such as designing an air traffic control tower with a panoramic view and converting an oil-powered gas station into an electric charging station within mere days. The secret to MJZ’s success lies in its remarkable networking ability, where it enters the fold as a unique service provider that offers things its clients have never even thought of, before it gains their trust and often becomes a lasting partner. Reinforcing the importance of always doing your homework, MJZ’s distinction is felt from before the first line in the design is even drawn, with its unique approach seeing it visit sites, such as when it attended factory visits across Poland to gain insight into modular off-site construction methods. Passion for their work permeates across this team, the results being a keenness to take on anything and them having their foot in the door across various sectors. For example, whilst undertaking a project in Spain, a call came in from the world’s biggest steel manufacturer, which was in search of a company that could focus on AI to further its design processes. Of course, the company accepted the invitation to pursue the grant. Interestingly, this is not the only grant that MJZ has taken on recently, as it also acquired its second research grant funded by the EU focused on prefabricated and modular social housings. It has been a busy year for M.J. and the team thus far, as they have recently finished carrying out a full refurbishment of an office park in the business’ native Warsaw. Commenting on this project, M.J. explains, “although it took us some time to develop a pragmatic approach, in the end, we were two steps ahead of the market with what we proposed during this green development.” Ultimately, this project saw MJZ turn almost a hectare of paved land into a natural forest landscape complete with 50 trees and three levels of underground parking. By adapting this area and the interiors of a nearby office complex that was previously bordering on totally empty, the team have transported a rather barren area into a thriving landscape that is, above all else, totally sustainable. Thus, in a world that is changing fast, MJZ offers solutions that benefit both the planet and its clients alike. M.J. gives an example, “imagine for one city we proposed a brand-new marketplace, with this change financed by funds saved from water retention.” Well, with MJZ, these no longer have to just be ideas. As a real-life example of how it solves problems brought about by issues like location, MJZ designed a revolutionary building in Taichung, Taiwan. This region plays frequent host to earthquakes and heavy rain, factors only made worse by climate change. Determined to find a solution that manages both of these areas, the team proposed a terraced tower that can safely withstand seismic movement, but also has water tanks situated on different levels, with these collecting the vital fresh rain water that would usually be lost to the sea. In search of investors to help him spearhead the future of both MJZ and its tech-specific branch, BuildingVR, M.J. tells us in closing, “receiving the award for Best Multidisciplinary Research & Design Creative Agency 2024 – Poland is a possible game-changer for us. We strongly believe that through this recognition more outside clients will see how versatile the scope of the work is that we can produce for many industries.” Those interested can use the link below to learn more about this award-winning R&D architect with a global reach.
