Dustin shares, “We use the latest technology to immerse our clients inside their projects in virtual 3D space, capturing the shape, form, textures, views, solar access, etc. This 3D immersion allows the clients to understand their project in minute detail and gives them the opportunity to make informed decisions about their project.” The Butterfly Beach House renovation was a project which involved the total transformation of a 80s suburban brick house into a luxury resort-style retirement retreat. Embracing the property’s coastal location, the design incorporated a dynamic butterfly-shaped skillion roof to take advantage of the scenic views and solar orientation. The finished home boasts expansive east facing decks, a resort-style open plan living, a two-storey feature entrance foyer, and a low maintenance low water garden. To create the owner’s forever home, Innerchi Studios also integrated a lift and various other lifestyle features to support aging in place. The final result was a completely renovated home that captured the essence of the owner’s vision and exceeded client’s wildest expectations. Dustin says, “As a sole practitioner, I focus on doing the best job I can do for each client and project that comes through the door. Each project stretches me to learn more about client-centred design, about our planning system, and about our building industry. Having over two decades of experience puts me in the position of being an expert in the Mid-North Coast of New South Wales, and a steady stream of referrals is a testament to how well we look after our clients and the calibre of architectural projects that we create for them.” For Innerchi Studios, collaboration has been the core theme of the beginning of 2024. As an expert on Apartment Buildings in the Mid-North Coast, the company has had the opportunity to support several communityminded projects in the area. Innerchi Studios is excited to be working with COX Architecture, one of the largest architectural practices in Australia, on the Kempsey Youth Hub, a 24room boarding house that provide essential services to local youth. Furthermore, Innerchi Studios is collaborating on a biophilic shop-top apartment building in Mullumbimby which will incorporate work/ living spaces and create new homes while reinforcing the character of the local township. In Uralla, NSW, the company is also developing a masterplan for the local Aboriginal Housing Group to provide local seniors with muchneeded housing.
