However, developing the product did come with its challenges, which were overcome: (1) Truss column design: By using a heavy duty steel tube leg, WWSB created a truss leg which was easy to complete an interior finish on and doesn’t intrude into the living space; (2) By using this tube leg design, WWSB was able to remove cord bracing which is a required steel component that ties the inside edge of the truss back to the girt (stud), also intruding into the living area; and (3) An alternative was required to the standard wind bracing which was located on the inside of the girt line and difficult to cover up when finishing. WWSB worked up an alternative for having to work around and be able to do interior finish without losing interion space or additional cost.
