I Jun21719 Project Study Here, Elliot talks us through one of Creative’s most successful projects to date. “One of the projects we are most proud of is a large two- story extension and entire existing reconfiguration. We took this particular client from the initial/planning stage thorough to the build completion. Our client was a young couple with two young girls and had decided to rent a small bungalow near to the house whilst we carried out the works, this is always recommended on a project of this size and nature for speed and cost purposes. “The existing property was 1700sqf and once completed finished at 4000sqf. We started the project in December 2019 which brought it’s own issues, as the weather was particularly wet and windy. Whilst this is not an issue to most trades as it’s the nature of working on projects like this at this time of year, we were not to know what was around the corner. Fast forward to March 2019 when we were hit with the Covid pandemic and the steels, external construction and dividing of the new space had all been carried out, this left plaster boarding, plastering and all finishes internally and externally to be completed.” “I cannot praise my team enough for the passion, determination and enthusiasm to complete the project with minimum effect on the programme. We all worked extremely hard with cost implications to the business, to find the materials required (plaster and plasterboard) at a time when materials were in massive demand and short supply.
