Thorcon Shotcrete and Shoring is a specialty geo-technical company that delivers many different engineered systems for shoring and foundation needs. Currently, the firm is working on a project with the Army Corp of Engineers at the West Point Military Academy. This is the largest contract Thorcon has ever executed and will test the depth of the company. The pre-approval process was very intense but well worth the challenge. T As part of this exciting project the firm is installing rock dowels, a steel reinforcing mat over the entire face of 80,000 Sq. Ft. Also included is adding wall drainage systems and freeze thaw design work for the Army Corp of Engineers. Thorcon will also be creating the sculpted shotcrete facing, delivering a very high- definition architectural facing to look like natural rock. The size of the project is intense, and the nature of the job is challenging but the team is confident that they can execute the same exceptional standards provided to all of their clients. The project will take the form of every other project Thorcon works on.
