If all is going well I will take that design and tweak it to compare. Only after several designs am I every truly happy with it. My aim is not just to make my client happy, but to build something I am excited for also so that I can create my best work so that both myself and the client can be truly proud of my creation.” It is this focus on creating a unique, innovative solution designed around his client’s requirements that sets GW Cabinetry apart from its competitors and has helped the firm achieve the success it enjoys today according to Gary. “The success of my business and projects can be attributed to my eye for details and interior design. I like to think that I truly put my heart and soul into every project, I am more than just a cabinet maker. I am a home maker. Whether it be a wardrobe, a media cabinet or library book shelves, I am creating something that people will use every day to assist their lives; and I hope, make them more enjoyable. When clients invite me into their home, I give them more than just a cabinet, I am passing on my years of experience and knowledge in design and cabinet making.” Looking to the future, Gary predicts an increase in home modification as clients eschew prefabricated furnishings in favour of bespoke solutions, as he excitedly concludes. “Ultimately, the ability to customise a home is slowly becoming more and more accessible, and I predict is a trend that will eventually become nor- mal. Whether they are buying a media cabinet, sofa or even a carpet, in the future I believe that clients will not want to buy off the shelf products. Instead, they will opt for individually designed and styled pieces that are suited to their own tastes and needs. “As such, this presents many exciting opportunities for firms such as GW Cabinetry.
