Heather Meikle has dedicated her life to the architectural design community of her birthplace, Seattle, and her career has revolved around her passion in this creative sphere. Beginning in the field of commercial interiors in 1992, Heather has since acquired design expertise in residential, commercial, healthcare and hospitality sectors for companies across the Northwest, equipping her with the skills and knowledge to launch her own design firm just over a decade ago. Small by design, with low overhead costs, HMI is able to offer unrivalled cost efficiency in its services, regardless of the scale or complexity of a project. From lighting installation to full scope design, fabric selection to project management, Heather and her team handle a full spectrum of projects, operating with the same high levels of respect, honesty and dedication to every customer. As a result, HMI has proudly completed several magnificent works in the last year alone. The most recent was a 5,000 square foot contemporary home, proudly perched upon Clyde Hill, Washington. Heather and her team went above and beyond to source the most exquisite furnishings and extraordinary artwork for the house, even securing a custom exterior sculpture that has ensured the house will forever be uniquely recognized as the cherished home of its owners. As HMI’s presence on the design scene of Seattle and the US becomes increasingly significant, Heather is optimistic about the future of her business. Keeping a close eye to trends that are seeing increased demand for home offices and child learning spaces in the home, HMI is evolving accordingly, creating luxury workspaces that are only enhancing the brand’s reputation for outstanding functional spaces.
