From the floating ‘bubble’ chandeliers created by Thomas Schoos, which hung in the living room to remind inhabitants of their 38th floor residence’s position above the clouds; to the kitchen with all its appliances hidden yet easily accessible; to the master bedroom, complete with monumental artworks that doubled as sliding doors, which gave way to the master bath, the finished space was truly magnificent. This project may have been a unique case in which the design team of Schoos were left to truly let their imaginations run wild, but the team employed the same balance of artistic flair and meticulous design and communication processes that it does in every project. The result is a rich and diverse portfolio, that is only enhanced by the adamant nature of Schoos in never using products that are popular with other design firms.
