construction technology company landed media coverage from Business Insider after becoming a Newswire Earned Media Advantage Guided Tour customer. The construction technology company helps contractors easily process their payment. With the help of the Newswire team, who implemented a strategic Earned Media Advantage Plan (EMAP), the company was recognized by Business Insider. The plan, developed by an Earned Media Advantage Strategist (EMAS), created a unique strategy for the construction technology company to help promote its brand message to top media contacts and target their customer audience. “Focusing and implementing the right plan and sending it out to the right people at the right time has attributed to this monumental win for the construction technology company,” said Charlie Terenzio, Director of Earned Media Strategy at Newswire, “The strategy ‘customerized’ by our strategist caught Business Insider’s attention, resulting in the company being highlighted in an article.” The construction industry has had issues with payment errors, leaving contractors unpaid on time and lost payment records. Through the construction technology company’s product and messaging, these pain points were addressed for contractors and their employers. Taking this into account, the strategist was able to integrate the company’s unique messaging to send to the right audience at the right time through the right mediums. As a result, the Guided Tour has become the paving way to more earned media mentions and strategic organization to create the right roadmap to achieve their media and marketing goals. “As a cost-efficient option opposed to hiring an FTE or agency, Newswire’s Earned Media Advantage Guided Tour has been the construction technology company’s way of being able to cut the time it takes to achieve media recognition and reach the right audience,” said Terenzio. Aside from the construction technology company, other companies in the technology and construction industry have come to embrace the Earned Media Advantage Guided Tour as a way to achieve the Earned Media Advantage: greater brand awareness, increased traffic, greater return on media and marketing communications spend, and increased sales. Connecting with an EMAS to create and implement an EMAP has been adapted by company c-suite level executives. 5 Q1 2020 BUILD A construction-focused technology company secured the high-profile coverage after working with the Newswire Team. 6 BUILD Q1 2020 Nov19082 BONIAN misr® - 25 Years of Toil with Pride and Spirit Truly outstanding buildings are, in many ways, one of the truest expressions of ‘living art’. They are homes, businesses, offices – enjoyed, in one way or another, every day by the people who live and work inside of them. Today celebrating its Silver Anniversary after twenty-five years of remarkable performance and superior dedication, BONIAN misr® is the recipient of Egypt’s ‘Most Outstanding Multidisciplinary Architecture Firm’ in the 2020 Design and Build Award. Here we discover how this firm has forged an indelible reputation that exquisitely represents what it means to create art from the heart. eople are taught from a young age to not judge a book by its cover. It’s a lesson that architects have surely learned to dismiss. Architecture is art that evokes brush strokes on a canvas: every line and detail combining to create a total image as real and evocative as any painting. It’s an idea that BONIAN misr® have truly capitalised on. An internationally-renowned hub of creative, thoughtful and meticulous architects, BONIAN misr® has been providing Egypt and several other countries in Africa with constant determination, hard work, and architecturally wondrous projects since the firm’s establishment in 1995. Under the sagacious leadership of CEO Professor Mohamed Ayman Daef, this multidisciplinary firm has continued to grow from strength to strength. BONIAN misr® is driven by a desire to provide matchless aesthetic with expertise from around the globe, focusing squarely on delivering quality properties and cultivating industry-leading talent in the process. With a wealth of considerable experience throughout a wide variety of industry-relevant sectors, the team know exactly how to utilise their talents in creating timeless spaces that are perfect for both clients and users. Working closely alongside all stakeholders within a project, the firm takes pride in its sky-high levels of communication, project management, and execution abilities. The firm is headquartered in the beachfront resort town of Hurghada, which stretches approximately forty kilometres along the coast of the Red Sea. In January 2004, Professor Daef elected to open the firm’s second branch which was located in Asyut City, several hours drive to the west in central Egypt. Professor Daef has been the CEO of BONIAN misr® ever since he founded his own private architectural practice in January 1995. Operating as a consultant architect, urban planner, and interior designer, Professor Daef’s experience is perhaps amongst the most extensive in the world. Prior to founding BONIAN misr®, he gained his M.Sc. and PhD degrees from the Bartlett School of Architecture at University of P

7 Q1 2020 BUILD London. As well as heading up his own firm, the good professor also teaches Architecture and Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Asyut, and co-founded the Board of Chancellors at the Egyptian Russian University in Cairo. As if that wasn’t enough, Professor Daef has also been the consultant of Interior Design for His Majesty, the King of Eswatini for the last ten years. With his work speaking for itself, Professor Daef’s work for the King of Eswatini looks exactly as a royal palace should. Effortlessly combining gold and white with an array of colours such as red, blue, green, and purple, the designs bring together the opulence of royalty with the comfort of any five-star residence. Just one of the disciplines that BONIAN misr® work tirelessly in, is architecture. Whether it be residential villas and apartment buildings, civic and cultural governmental buildings, health and educational facilities, or offices and retail spaces, there is nothing that the firm won’t be excited to help with. What begins with a creatively-devised integrated design solution quickly evolves and becomes an inspired structure that can fulfil a myriad of uses, no matter the client or user group. Projects that the firm has worked on include everything from small villas to royal residences, housing estates and hotel facilities, to landscaped gardens and libraries. As well as the common and widespread properties that BONIAN misr® and Professor Daef have worked on, the firm has also been responsible for conceptually visioning, designing and working on a public zoo and Olympic City within Egypt. Buildings can range from slick, modern and geometrically-intriguing, to classic, elegant and regal for any one of a number of uses. With exquisite combinations of white and gold adorning the outside of the building in a number of patterns, stretching pillars and delightful windows, the residential architecture work harkens back to a time where opulence and fine living meant class and power. For the modern resident, colours are more restrained, and style is instead expressed through form and shape. Blocks and square shapes fit together and create buildings that really capture the eye, or slicker and more rounded buildings offer earthy tones to reconnect residents with nature. Each building is perfectly complemented by the lush greenery of Africa’s wildlife, and the clear blue skies above Egypt’s blistering sunshine. Once the architecture and exteriors have been masterfully realised and brought to life, Professor Daef and his crack team at BONIAN misr® set about ensuring that the interior design expertly complements every aspect already established. By designing a building from the inside-out as much from the outside-in, there is a creative sense of continuity and connection between the interior and exterior designs. For the team at the firm, the ultimate goal is to allow every building a sense of place, whilst remaining functional and elegant. Securing and implementing the right furniture to complement a bold colour scheme has seen many BONIAN misr® projects transformed from simply stunning buildings into all-encompassing, awe-inspiring spaces of luxury and modernity. A multidisciplinary firm of the modern age, BONIAN misr® continues to push the limits of what it can achieve, making full use of the wisdom and leadership that CEO Professor Mohamed Ayman Daef continues to offer with every passing day. Having secured twenty-five years of success in collaboration with major Egyptian government’s establishments and Eswatini royalty, the firm will be looking to secure its next twenty-five years with even more. BONIAN misr® is currently developing a fascinating design concept for the Kingdom of Eswatini in Africa. This project is the “Memorial Park” of Eswatini, an important cultural landmark for the region, with construction sought to be completed sometime in 2022. The project’s design concept is guided by the National Development Strategy – Vision 2022 – which, in turn, has been outlined by His Majesty King Mswati III. As such, upon completion, the project will become a vital vehicle to bring the people of Eswatini together, and to boast the country’s rich cultural heritage. BUILD Q1 2020 8 Oct19139 Bedfordshire and Beyond: Delivering Dental Excellence Mouths are subject to plenty of bacteria and hard work every day, from eating and drinking, to just talking. Brushing teeth and making sure that every aspect of oral health is looked after is important. For some members of society, maintaining the good oral health they need to thrive can be very difficult because of learning disabilities, mental health issues, severe dental phobia or lifestyle factors. Often these patients cannot be treated by a high street dentist. Enter Community Dental Services; a CiC (Community Interest Company) seeking to make a difference in local communities by offering dental care to disadvantaged members of society and organisations. Founded as an employee-owned social enterprise and community interest company, Community Dental Services was created in 2011 to deliver clinical dental and oral healthcare to vulnerable people and communities. Within the clinics and mobile units, the company offer specialist services to more than just their contracted target areas. Taking care of one’s teeth is vital, and not just for a flashy smile. The company delivers full dental packages for those who want to take care of their workforce’s oral hygiene or on-site oral health screening in their mobile dental clinics. Each of the mobile units are designed with ease of access in mind for everyone, whether capable of travelling without problem, or in need of a walking aid, wheelchair or hoisting equipment. They are fully equipped and offer all the services of a normal clinic and dental team. There is far more to dental hygiene than simply looking good. Plenty of very serious health issues can be made a lot worse by poor oral healthcare, including a variety of heart conditions, diabetes, and pneumonia to name a few. There is plenty of advertising around the devastating effects of gingivitis and gum disease when it comes to losing teeth, and the possibility that poor oral hygiene may even lead to cancer. On top of the various healthcare issues is the added pressure of associated social problems with poor dental care. For people who can’t smile, or don’t find joy in their own smile, a negative outlook can seriously impact lives. For those with a poor appearance, they may experience a distinct lack of confidence and self-esteem, which can have even further knock-on effects. If someone is uncomfortable with their smile, not being able to greet someone positively can impact job prospects. A good smile and healthy teeth are far more important than it may first appear. More than simply a community dentist, Community Dental Services are radically changing lives across societies and areas for the better. Offering hope and healthcare with a friendly smile, this company is thoroughly invested in giving people the best chance to get the healthcare they deserve, and so much more. Where once the Internet was seen as this infinitely scary thing that people didn’t understand, new technological advancements have unlocked the possibility of virtual reality and augmented reality, where users can enter into a digital realm in fully-realised three-dimensional glory. One of the firms leading the charge to utilise technology from industries across the spectrum, in a collaborative effort to enhance all kinds of services, is BeeByte Software Solutions. Primarily focused on desktop software development, this technology is aimed at helping companies and individuals of all industries maximise the potential of what is currently available. Rather than develop a new technology from scratch, BeeByte are instead showcasing the potential of current technology at use within the gaming industry. Whilst there are a number of technologies currently at use within the industry, this firm are focused on the remarkable creative power of one technology in particular; Unreal Engine 4. The most powerful creation engine that the world has ever seen, Unreal Engine 4 was created by Epic Games, also responsible for the monolithic and hugely successful Fornite: Battle Royale that has swept the gaming world since July 2017. Alongside some of the biggest releases of the last few years including Days Gone and Borderlands 3, Unreal Engine 4 can be The Virtual Future of Architecture The times, they are a’ changing. Technology has become more widespread than ever before, and it shows no signs of slowing down. Founded in 2018 and capitalising on the latest advancements in technology across a wide variety of mediums, BeeByte Software Solutions are a fresh software development company seeking to help clients in their digital evolution. T used for so much more than video games. BeeByte are a part of the driving force behind getting this outstanding technology into more industries. Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 has had a major impact on the ways that a lot of professions and industries now work, ranging from automotive firms to major movie studios. Filmmakers can create impressive virtual environments, and automotive producers are creating virtual car experiences for potential clients to sit inside a car without being anywhere near it. Perhaps most impressively however, is that Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 enables brain surgeons to train and hone their craft with real-time simulation of various kinds of neurosurgery. With potential limited only by the users’ imagination, Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4 is the perfect suite of creative development tools ideal for anyone working with real-time technology. Accessible workflows enable various users to collaborate on projects together in real-time, developing and creating outstanding pieces of art. BeeByte are responsible for taking this creative powerhouse of an engine, and applying it to industries where it can make a real, tangible improvement to the way businesses operate. One such way in which BeeByte are helping to maximise the global potential of Unreal Engine 4 is through architectural visualisation. Despite still being in the early stages of developing a minimally viable product, the software development firm are keen to show off the potential of Epic Games’ engine to render beautiful virtual reality experiences of small apartments. Aimed at providing a VR experience to construction companies that create apartment buildings, it can help all parties involved with the buying and construction of a dream space. Help comes in the form of fundraising prior to the commencement of any building work on apartment construction projects. Clients can be provided with a high-quality presentation, and high-resolution virtual reality experience of what their future home space might look like, thanks to the creative potential of Unreal Engine 4. That level of interactivity and being able to move around a space before it has even been built will radically change the way in which apartments and potentially houses will be bought in the future, with BeeByte and Epic Games at the forefront of that radical change. For BeeByte in particular, bringing that architectural visualisation solution begins with small, affordable projects. Currently on the lookout for investors, there has never been a better time to get involved with BeeByte, looking to fundamentally change industries across the world for the better. With expansion into the electronics industry planned, the firm are looking at just how far they can go with maximising the potential of Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4. However, despite the seemingly endless list of benefits and positives that BeeByte can offer to their clients in terms of technological advancement for the architectural and construction industries, the work does not come without challenges. Working with designers and programmers for large amounts of time, each project is challenging in its own unique way. There is also VR sickness to consider, as end users may not be used to using virtual reality technology.

Q1 2020 BUILD 11 Navigation mechanisms must be designed with ease of use in mind, and for those unfamiliar with VR technology, seasickness and headaches can present a real issue. That’s where BeeByte’s expert software knowledge comes in extremely helpful. Every piece of hardware for each project is considered, with a specific focus on virtual reality hardware and graphics cards. The quality of the VR experience depends almost entirely on the resolution that certain virtual reality devices have, and the power of graphics cards to make that resolution a reality. Across the technology industry today, there is a sweeping wave of continually-impressive graphics cards, boasting real-time raytracing and other impressive features too numerous to mention. BeeByte know that once there is a price reduction in the highend and top-of-the-range RTX graphics cards, they will become a must-have for any virtual reality hardware. Between Beebyte Software Solutions being one of the most innovative companies within the realm of technological advancement, and Epic Games delivering constant updates to the already-incredible creative potential of Unreal Engine 4, the future of business is exciting. More and more industries will begin to adopt technology into everything they do, and with BeeByte already working to include virtual reality as part of the architecture industry, there is nowhere to go but up for this incredibly exciting firm. Priding themselves on their ability to translate ideas to the client in the most tangible forms, LAM Architects designs range from standard two-dimensional drawings, to three-dimensional visuals or video walkthroughs. However, arguably the most important aspect of LAM Architect’s work comes post-construction. Making sure that a building becomes a home, Tara then delivers a range of full interior design services. 15 Q1 2020 BUILD the drive to see the business succeed. Young and fresh-faced members bring the technical knowhow and software expertise to craft masterful three-dimensional renderings, and more experienced members of staff understand the industry and the necessary experience to ensure every stage runs smoothly. Where there is success however, there is usually obstacles to overcome in maintaining that success. For LAM Architects, and the wider architectural industry in Northern Ireland, the biggest stumbling block is the planning process. Rather than wait in discontent for the planning service to move past statutory guidelines, Tara and her team are seeking partnerships with other practices and local councillors in a bid to change the system, encouraging it to work better for the individuals and the country as a whole. Not content to take the challenges lying down, Tara is keen to highlight the future opportunities for LAM Architects and her team of passionate individuals. Two exciting new projects are happening in 2019 and 2020, both aimed at showcasing the future of Belfast. 2019 will see the beginning of work on Clarence Chambers in Donegall Square. Won by Tara back in 2017 during work for a different practice, this design will feature an iconic new building right in the heart of the capital, overlooking the city hall. The design, now with LAM Architects, will restore and celebrate two townhouses on the square with a dynamic 3D clad office tower above. Beginning in 2020, LAM Architects will be working on more than three hundred housing units in Newry, with a striking design that seeks to elevate the level of social and affordable housing whilst generating a great community to be a part of. LAM Architects may only be in their infancy as a firm, but with Tara Lamb at the head, the future looks bright for this Belfast-based business. With authoritative knowledge and extensive experience of creating masterful architecture designs and dream spaces, this firm are poised to become one of Northern Ireland’s finest firms.
