23 Q1 2020 BUILD Oct19408 unton Environmental works to solve complex ground problems in the construction and land development industry. It does this by challenging traditional thinking as well as continuously developing new ideas which deliver real programme and cost benefits to its clients. Associate Director, James Hill, tells us more about the firm and what it stands for. “At Dunton, we are a group of brands standing together to regenerate and restore the environment through our work across the business landscape,” he explains. “We’re on a mission to bring the Dunton philosophy, core operating principles and values to a multitude of sectors and industries across the globe.” James is a member of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and has more than 15 years’ experience in the UK geo-environmental and waste management service industry. With specialist expertise in brownfield land assessment and waste management, James is responsible for managing sales, marketing activities and developing group business opportunities in the UK and overseas. “We will do something so significant and lasting to improve and restore our environment that its impact and legacy will be felt by mankind forever. Through our work, all elements: earth, vegetation and air, will be restored to their most natural, beautiful form so that wildlife and communities can thrive without end.” The firm pools its resources, its expertise and its innovation to create and procure better tools and processes that change the way industries operate, positively changing their environmental impact and fostering a better world for generations to come. The Dunton brand ensures that no matter what the challenge, its customers and communities can trust every project will be focused on providing the best possible outcome for the environment and their world social responsibility. Recently, Dunton Environmental was named Most Innovative Waste Management Solutions Provider in the West Midlands in the Recycling and Waste Management Awards 2019, held by BUILD magazine. Fostering A Better World For Future Generations Dunton Environmental is striving for a better tomorrow and, in the wake of being awarded a prestigious accolade, we speak to James Hill about the firm’s ethos. D “A sustainable environment isn’t optional,” James embellishes. “It’s monumental to our global welfare today and for generations to come. Whether it’s safely regenerating waste material to power nations, enabling sustainable construction projects, or restoring land to support wildlife and communities, Dunton is working with everyone in mind. Our work isn’t just for the businesses we partner with: it’s for the communities they enrich, the people they uplift and the world we all call home.” It seems as though Dunton Environmental’s success is set to continue as the company expanded its premises in 2017 due to a surge in demand from construction clients. The 40-strong firm purchased a one-acre site at Northgate, Aldridge, which included 10,000 foot of office space and officially moved its HQ to this site from its former Perry Barr in December 2018. The firm also has several sites across the UK. “This isn’t about box ticking or simply doing our bit: we’re on a mission to heal and regenerate our environment so that businesses and people across the globe can prosper today and tomorrow. “Whether it’s from our head office or on build sites throughout the UK, we transform people and communities every day. “To us, living on purpose means seeking to build and heal the people and places around you. To serve others so they can be the best version of themselves. Through both our client work and our global social impact projects, the Dunton family turns visions into reality, pulling up our sleeves to build a better tomorrow.” Company: Dunton Environmental Web Address: www.duntonenvironmental.com
