Thanks to their years of experience as a real estate agent in Kiel and the surrounding areas, the team at WILSTRUP have a deep knowledge of the regional real estate market and can determine a realistic value for any property. Correct pricing can be the difference between successful and unsuccessful marketing for a property. Each valuation takes place as part of a detailed consultation, which is non-binding and free of charge for clients. Home staging, previously a very American tradition, has become increasingly popular in Germany over a number of years and has since been adopted as an area of practice for WILSTRUP. Homes can be brought into prominence with the help of neutral, soft furnishings, decorations and accessories to make any space look infinitely more appealing to potential buyers. Properties are proven to sell much quicker if during the first viewing, clients can already see themselves living in a space. Working with a myriad of properties, WILSTRUP offer many different styles and sizes for all their different clients, whether buying or selling. Properties can range from a rented, luxury penthouse in Flintbek, to a semi-detached house for sale in Neumünster, to a commercial building in Hannover. However, arguably one of Kiel’s most outstanding properties is on the famous Holtenauer Straße 73. A prestigious residential and commercial building from the Wilhelminian era of the early 1900s, the five-storey house on the Holtenauer Straße 73 survived two world wars and was a home to generations of people. It is now considered a cultural monument with special value to the city. More than 110 years later, the building incorporates modern accents having been returned to its original glory. For Philip, this project remains one German Engineering at its Finest Headquartered in Kiel, WILSTRUP Immobilien is a brokerage office that provides residential and rental properties throughout Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, and western Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. From small student apartments to prestigious luxury villas, discover why this firm is one of Northern Germany’s most sustainable project development specialists. We speak to Owner, Philip Wilstrup who is eager to discuss his company and exceptional work ethic. D of their most important, acting as a showcase to the company’s services and expertise. “It was our objective to live up to the highest standards of renovating a listed building. Firstly, searching for old documentation was fairly easy as the relevant building authorities had all the old drawings from 1905-1906, so determining the dimensions of the original wooden windows etc. was not really a problem. Ultimately, we wanted to obtain the original appearance of the building, so we ensured that the cooperation with the heritage authority was very smooth from the start. Rebuilding a house obviously requires meeting the standards and regulations of today in terms of fire protection and safety, among other considerations. In many cases, a compromise between heritage preservation and building requirements of today had to be found. However, all in all, we got through this without any conflicts or major difficulties.” Developing sustainable projects is becoming a vitally important factor for real estate and property development firms as the world’s focus shifts to its continuing impact on the environment. Working to make sure buildings are environmentally sustainable without compromising on style, class, sophistication and the smooth purchasing process, WILSTRUP are helping secure the future for properties in Northern Germany. “Since 2014, the sustainable building market has been of great importance to us. The demand has always been there but due to cost many investors have been hesitant to start new projects. Since 2016 however, we’ve noticed a commitment towards sustainability and, in 2019, the “Greta-Effect” added even more momentum. We believe this will continue and, currently, we work on an attached bungalow project for elderly people.” - Philip Wilstrup, Co-owner with Sabine In der Smitten WILSTRUP’s continued success is down to their determination to constantly offer investors, buyers and sellers the perfect environment in which to conduct business. Brokering deals in real estate that range from detached houses, to the palace of Holtenauer Straße 73, this firm’s work is very successful indeed and looks set to flourish in the years to come.
