BUILD Q2 2018
Q2 2018 Build 5 ate is excited to expand their portfolio of raised access floor finish options with the launch of their new STONEWORKS™ line of integrated finishes. These new proprietary products, conceived by Tate’s product development team, combine aesthetic designs with structural components into one precision crafted integrated product. And, like all Tate finishes, STONEWORKS panels ship from the factory as a finished product, arriving at job sites installa- tion ready, making for a quicker, more efficient installation process. “The launch of the STONEWORKS line continues Tate’s longstanding commitment of offering innovative products that capture the very latest industry design trends and bring them to our customers,” says David Maybury, General Manager for Tate. “We expect these new products to help differentiate Tate with both architects and interior designers, and further strengthen our position in the eyes of our customers as a true partner that listens to what they need and quickly responds with high-quality solutions.” The STONEWORKS line offers five distinct finish options, ranging from Classic Concrete and Decorative Concrete, to Terrazzo and two finishes which emulate the natural stone look and feel of both Granite and Slate. Comprehensive product pages can be found on Tate’s website at www. TateInc.com and present users with detailed information and photos about each product, as well as a complete array of technical documents from data sheets, details, and specifications, to installation and mainte- nance manuals. Maybury says the desire to evolve alongside the ever-changing needs of the built environment was a driving factor behind the development of the new STONEWORKS line. “Modern workplace trends continue to favour industrial designs with open, collaborative spaces, and hard surface finishes are being brought into these areas,” he says. “This creates less space for traditional overhead service distribution, and makes access floor systems a better option than ever before for meeting the infrastruc- ture needs of the contemporary work place. Expanding our range of finishes with the STONEWORKS line will help our customers capture the look they want for their next project, while still retaining the infrastructure accessibility, flexibility, and reconfigurability they need.” New STONEWORKS™ Access Floor Finishes Offers Modern Design Options for the Built Environment Tate is excited to expand their portfolio of raised access floor finish options with the launch of their new STONEWORKS™ line of integrated finishes. T project that will help control the County’s energy costs using this renewa- ble energy source, has been a great success. We look forward to being a long-standing sustainability partner to them well into the future.” Sustainability is layered into the County’s long-term, strategic plan, as it believes a sustainable region focused on fighting climate change, is critical to keeping the region thriving. “This solar array will enable the County to continue to contain long-term energy costs for our facilities, while also supporting renewable energy development,” stated Mike Foley, Director of the Department of Sustaina- bility for Cuyahoga County. “With the current challenges around our state’s renewable energy initiatives, we believe the obligation is in the hands of the local governments and private industry to do the right thing when it comes to sustainability.” There are currently 70 other closed and capped landfills that the County views as other potential sites for development, as it develops potential plans to replicate this project model in the future. “This project is the culmination of a cooperative effort among Cuyahoga County, Cleveland Public Power, the Cities of Cleveland and Brooklyn, Enerlogics, McDonald Hopkins, the Ohio EPA and IGS Solar,” added Foley. “Working with these expert partners to turn a brownfield site into productive land and generate renewable energy has been nothing short of remarkable. It’s been an extraordinary journey and we are all very excited about this project.”
