BUILD Q2 2018
Build Q2 2018 6 odern day joinery construction and interior fit-out requires vi- sion, resource and a thorough understanding of the intricate detailing that is the difference between a good project and a great one. Kim tells us about the previous experiences that the group as a whole has dealt with, telling us how much the team enjoy the work that they do. “As a company within the building solutions group, DKR Group and D & K Contracting, established in 1998, we have had the pleasure to work on a wide variety of projects including luxury residential homes, leisure facilities, high profile commercial office fit outs and various health & educational developments. We are able to make kitchens, windows, various stairs and doors, fitted/built in wardrobes, one off bespoke pieces of furniture.” Part of the firm’s overwhelming success, has been the way it has ap- proached new projects, and with a successful procedure in place, DKR Group has usually managed to exceed client expectations. “When approaching every new project, we complete a site visit where we are able you see what needs to be done, and we feel as though this allows us to build a rapport with new clients. This is important to us as we are a family run business, meaning we pride ourselves on team work and communication. On a regular basis, we have staff meetings so that everyone in the team are able to voice their opinions.” Kim believes that there are certain aspects which help DKR Joinery Ltd mark themselves out as the best option for clients. Talking about the accolades that the firm has accomplished, Kim comments on the team’s most successful project to date, such as complete refurbishments for global providers. “Crucial to our success, we like to think that if its wood we can make it! Staff do not restrict themselves to just one joinery product. We have had many enjoyable projects, but one has been for a shop fit out company which has been refurbishing stores all over the country.” Despite working in a competitive industry, DKR Joinery have managed to expand their services, securing even more business for the company. A crucial aspect of this has been the firm’s ability to create innovative solutions in order to maintain its success. “Recently, we have moved to a large unit due to an expanding work book. As I said before, we like to have regular staff meetings to drum up new ideas and come up with solutions to cut down running time.” Overall, the future is unpredictable in the joinery industry. What can be said is that DKR Joinery will adapt to these challenges and develop- ments. In her concluding comments, Kim predicts what the future has in store for the organisation, mentioning how she believes the market will change over the next 12 months. “Ultimately, we are always thinking of new way to improve, such as new innovative products. The team are aiming to have an online store within the year, enabling us to branch out and get our name out there. Lastly, we have lots of different ideas that are in the pipeline which we hope will move the business forward.” A Bespoke Joinery Specialist DKR Joinery Limited are bespoke joinery specialists, bringing a real depth of expertise and diverse skillsets to the table and a whole lot more.
