19 Q4 2022 BUILD Sep22236 Most Client Focused Facilities Management Company 2022 - UK Pareto was established in 2014 with the vision of creating one of the most diverse, original and inclusive businesses within the Workspace and Facilities Management (W&FM) sector. Since inception, Pareto has gone on to deliver over £100m of services across Europe to some of the largest brands in the world. Today, Pareto is one of the most successful companies in the UK, appearing on the Sunday Times Fast Track in 2021, winning multiple awards, and ultimately pushing the boundaries for UK SMEs. rom the start, Pareto’s DNA was different, with a mission statement to create the most servicefocused, customer-centric facilities management company in the UK. Operating with an entirely flexible model, it is able to build service solutions around each organisation it partners with. The high client engagement model ensures engaged and proactive account management, with teams that are formed of professionals qualified to the highest levels within W&FM. Pareto has the diversity of talent and culture that bring instincts, insights, and values needed to understand and contribute to this rapidly evolving world of work. Delighted to be labelled the disrupter in W&FM by the business analysts, Pareto has fundamentally changed the face of the sector. Whilst the growth of Pareto itself has been remarkable, it’s the culture and inclusion strategy that has been profound – Driven to be a totally inclusive culture whereby everyone is celebrated, and welcome without fear of harassment. By putting staff at the heart of the operation, Pareto has created a social-value driven environment that hasn’t been experienced in W&FM before. By delivering social-led initiatives, Pareto enables teams to come to work and represent themselves in any way they wish. Shortly after launch, Pareto established its Inclusion Committee aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion. Rapidly becoming known as the leader in Social Value within the W&FM sector, Pareto has since gone on to win some of the most prestigious clients including Deliveroo, Hearst, London Zoo, Virgin Media, Amnesty International, plus many more. Over time, this has enabled Pareto to launch numerous initiatives and strategies including: LGBTQ+ – Pareto helps to fund and resource LGBTQ+ in FM activities whilst playing a core part in the delivery of several initiatives. Tomorrow Meets Today Charity – Founded by CEO, Andrew Hulbert and funded by Pareto, this charity promotes young ethnic minorities into the W&FM sector. Women Mentoring Scheme – CEO, Andrew Hulbert has personally mentored more than 25 young women across the W&FM sector. Black Lives Matter – Pareto is the only service provider with a Black Lives Matter statement and actively educates its team members on race issues. F Apprenticeships – 5% of the Pareto workforce is made up of apprenticeships. Kickstart – Pareto recruited and hired 30 18–24-year-olds that were on Universal Credit via the government scheme, actively recruiting people on the neurodiverse scale. Mental Health First Aid – Pareto maintains a ratio of 1:20 for MHFA. Armed Forces Covenant – Pareto has recruited through this covenant since 2018. #FM10 – Pareto created their own virtual running initiative to help boost mental health during the pandemic. Skydive – Pareto have thrown more than 100 people out of a plane and raised over £50,000 for charity. Step On Board – Pareto have trained 30 senior W&FM professionals to enable them to join boards of charities as trustees. The Homelessness Initiative – Funded by Pareto, this initiative collected 8,000 items, generating 500 care packages to be given to homeless people. Community Support – Pareto has donated more than £20,000 of funding to local initiatives, from buying football kits to providing defibrillators. Pareto upholds its values with responsibility to ensure it helps others whilst progressing with good success. Additionally, Pareto believe the W&FM sector is behind in terms of genuinely supporting meaningful causes, particularly across what some would see as controversial groups. This did not feel like an inclusive industry and a huge part of the Pareto service delivery model was to create a genuinely inclusive culture. Not only delivering great social led initiatives but enabling its teams to come to work and to represent themselves in any way they wish and to promote projects important to them without fear of persecution, ridicule, or being silenced. At Pareto, you are judged on your ability to do a good job, not on your background or characteristics. This completely open and inclusive approach has led Pareto to be one of the most successful organisations in the UK across the last 10 years.
