Ryan explains one recent partnership the firm has undertaken and how this is helping it to enhance its already impressive success. “Since 2017, we have been a supply chain partner of ARMA (Association of Residential Managing Agents), mirroring their passion and the high standards they set in helping private residential sites work efficiently on a daily basis. “For us this partnership with ARMA was again our way of future planning. The industry is constantly evolving, and we believe that there will be more initiatives driven by government legislation and assisted by ARMA as they become a stronger force in the industry. A far greater need for accredited and trusted supply chain partners within the industry will become far more important than ever and unregulated service providers will be forced out of the industry or be forced to educate themselves and become accredited as they may pose a risk to managing agents and their clients.” This focus on adaptation and development will help the firm to navigate the increasingly challenging market it operates in, as Ryan discusses in his concluding comments. “Ultimately, looking to the future, at Mara we are aware that many companies in our industry offer the services we offer. However, decades of experience, in depth market knowledge and relationships established over many years has set us aside from most of our competitors. After all, the day-to-day running of a property or site can cause headaches for the building or facility manager, where a multitude of issues can arise leading to numerous phone calls and emails. Mara look to help ease this by offering one contact for all of their clients’ building needs; from car park cleaning to high rise window washing and everything in between, the firm has dedicated specialist teams to help no matter what their clients’ requirements. This dedicated approach has led the firm to work on a number of exciting projects. Ryan shares an insight into the projects the firm is currently undertaking. “Currently, at Mara we are working with several of the country’s largest property managing agents with our main focus on the Greater London area and south east. One of the major developments we are working with is a project by St George and Premier Estates called London Dock, where we currently work closely on a regular basis with the development manager to help the daily running of the development.” Having achieved incredible success over the past three decades, Mara has been keen to adapt and innovate around the developments in the industry, as Ryan highlights. “One of the most important factors in Mara’s longevity and success is that we have invested in our own future and have often been ahead of the curve in terms of on-going legislation requirements within the industry. We introduced eco-friendly cleaning products for all our service contracts, a number of years ago and started to convert our fleet to Electrical Vehicles in 2014.
