When discussing some of VAN HIENEN ADVIES’ most successful projects, Angélique informs us on how they have recently worked on the World Trade Center Rotterdam – the Netherland, and the steps the firm have taken to ensure that it has reached their exceptionally high-standards. S “One of my latest projects, was the renovation of the World Trade Center Rotterdam (WTC Rotterdam) – The Netherlands. WTC Rotterdam is located in the vibrant heart of the Rotterdam metropolis. The listed historic building, owned by Bouwinvest Dutch Institutional Office Fund (Amsterdam), is currently under- going a complete renovation and refurnishing. On behalf of Bouwinvest, I have been the interim Managing Director of WTC Rotterdam for more than two years, where I have initiated the transformation and renovation. One of the biggest challenges was that the property was still in use by more than 250 tenants and a convention center. Together with a team of real estate specialists, we worked hard and had to be creative. I am proud of the results of my team, there was a lot of pressure to perform, while the property was accessible 24/7 and the construction work had to bed one in respect of the 250 tenants, the Art Gallery and 8.000 m2 convention center.
