Public Art Project of the Year 2022 (UK): National Miners' Memorial

This voluntary group in the former Cannock Chase Coalfield promotes public art projects celebrating local heritage with a focus on the area’s proud coal mining history.
To recognise the UK’s coal mining heritage the group designed & built a monument at the NMA, Alrewas, Staffs.
It is a national, permanent memorial to commemorate the men, women & children who worked in the UK Coal Mining Industry and those who served or died for their country in the 2 Great Wars.
